Eric Hibelot
His favorite material, his plastic codes, his chromatic range are effective, simple and recurrent: Eric Hibelot works with white porcelain, sometimes even in 2D, like postcards or paintings, favoring round shapes that fill the hand, assembling his pieces by plates, no matter how small, looking for overhangs, imbalances, “round butts” from the Culbuto spirit; he likes flat areas of primary colors, blue in particular, contrasting matte and shiny surface effects, and stripes from the textile world.
His work refers to the containers of mass distribution; by giving each one a uniqueness, the creator repairs the faults of the consumer society.
