Students at the Nantes School of Architecture, Edouard Danais and Gwendal Le Bihan founded Studio Exercice in 2018. They collaborate with French glassmaker GlassVariation around the “Monolog” collection.

Often scorned in interior design, glass reveals all its delicacy in this seat and makes the most of the material’s properties and the know-how of the glass craftsmen (here the technique of gluing the glass with UV light, which makes all traces of joints disappear, but requires rigorous positioning work to adhere). A masterpiece of balance and light, it also ensures comfortable seating.
Adopting an eco-responsible approach, Exercice works on reusing glass scraps from the GlassVariation workshops: this constraint of saving material has stimulated the design.
