Franck Noto aka Zest

Franck Noto aka Zest is a self-taught artist from Montpellier who started graffiti at the age of 15. Later on, he signed frescoes from New York to Noumea and main European capitals. Color is his essence, and gesture, his engine.

He practices a resolutely abstract painting, whose universe is none other than that of suggestion: the letters of his pseudonym, a few cubic shapes, but above all, feminine contours.

With many tools (marker, roller, spray can, brush and paintbrush), he builds an elusive flow of colors and lines, conjugating colors as if they were words, and gracefully diffuses a structured, nuanced and willingly sparkling visual language. He shows a remarkable research of color associations by working on gradations or chiaroscuro.
