Marina Le Gall
Marina Le Gall’s sculptures are as much fantasized chimeras as sublimated animals, witnesses of her past reminiscences.
Having grown up in the Breton countryside on her family’s farm, the artist, who graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2014, was constantly inspired by animal attitudes throughout her childhood.
Meticulous observation has led the artist to reproduce rabbits or dogs whose movement is frozen in ceramic. By way of glaze, mixed colors become the fur of poetic creatures. The artist invites innocence into reality, invoking her childhood through her relationship with nature.
Marina Le Gall is currently represented by Galerie Françoise Livinec.
