Natalie Sanzache

Natalie Sanzache is a French artist born in Brazil. She trained in different workshops of ceramists and cabinetmakers. Therefore she learned the techniques of shaping and patina.

From her sunny childhood in Brazil was born her desire to work with light: she speaks of “poetic light“. In her search to work with new materials, she began to work with concrete, which she models manually like clay.

She enjoys making concrete fragile and delicate, because concrete is generally perceived as solid and industrial. She completes this with a mixture of powders and pigments that she applies to concrete.

She also proposes suspensions in plaster-coated wire mesh that she shapes like a lace.
