Thomas Paquet x Odile Mir

Léonie Alma Mason, architect and granddaughter of sculptor and designer Odile Mir, presented to the artist Thomas Paquet the republications of the furniture created by his grandmother in the 70s. In a reflection between contemporary art and design, they decided to reinterpret Odile Mir’s FILO maxi armchair (in numbered chrome and VVN leather).

Capturing the natural leather of these armchairs as a photosensitive surface, Thomas Paquet will then expose them to the sun according to a precise protocol and thus allows Léonie Alma Mason to produce three new and unique versions of the famous armchair.

Private Choice presents at its 2023 edition two armchairs as well as two footrests that have kept their original appearance.
